Rama and Ravana were equally well versed in all the forms of knowledge. But Valmiki described Ravana as murkha (fool) since he did not practise what he learnt. Rama followed Truth. He put his knowledge into practice. He is therefore, an ideal to be followed by everyone. Ravana merely accumulated knowledge without practising it. He could not digest all that he learnt. As a result, he suffered from 'indigestion'. He is a fool who does not practise what he learns. One who practises is a truly educated one. Education should confer humility.
