"I make time each day for a prayer break."

Throughout the day, wherever I am, I stop what I'm doing and take a prayer break. I don't need to close my eyes or wait for a few minutes of solitude. Wherever I am, whatever I am doing, I can still my thoughts and say a prayer of thanksgiving to God.

If something is troubling me, I release my concerns into God's care. The weight of a problem is lifted from me in such a time of close communion with God.

After my prayer break, I am peaceful and calm. Relaxed and refocused on the responsibilities that are before me, I know that I can do whatever I need to do in an orderly, efficient way. For a quick pick-me-up, I include a prayer break several times during my daily routine. It works!

"All these were constantly devoting themselves to prayer, together with certain women, including Mary the mother of Jesus, as well as his brothers."
- Acts 1:14

O Lord, take my love, and let it flow in fullness of devotion to Thee;
O Lord, take my hands, and let them work incessantly for Thee;
O Lord, take my soul, and let it be merged in One with Thee;
O Lord, take my mind and thoughts, and let them be in tune with Thee;
O Lord, take my everything, and let me be an instrument to work for Thee.
