“One with God, I let nothing disturb the calm peace of my soul.”

Do I sometimes feel that outer circumstances keep me from experiencing peace of mind? Do I believe that to keep peace in a relationship I have to sacrifice who I am?

True inner peace does not come from a problem-free life or from sacrificing who I am. True inner peace comes from knowing my oneness with God.

I can experience this unshakable peace by becoming still and centering on the presence of God within me. I repeat the affirmation : God and I are one, and I begin to feel the peace that comes from knowing I am not alone, that God is always with me.

When I am centered in this peaceful, sacred awareness, I can choose to experience peace in every circumstance of my life. In every moment, I choose peace.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives.
Do not let your hearts be troubled.”
- John 14:27

O Lord, take my love, and let it flow in fullness of devotion to Thee;
O Lord, take my hands, and let them work incessantly for Thee;
O Lord, take my soul, and let it be merged in One with Thee;
O Lord, take my mind and thoughts, and let them be in tune with Thee;
O Lord, take my everything, and let me be an instrument to work for Thee.
