“In sweet surrender to God, I clear my mind and refresh my soul.”
Is there a heaviness of heart that I carry around with me? Perhaps something happened to me or to a loved one, and I just cannot get over the hurt of it.
Yet in order to live my life, I need to get far enough away from that incident so that I do not keep reliving the hurt. How do I do this? I release it not in anger, but in a sweet surrender to God. In sweet surrender, I clear my mind and refresh my soul.
I am not the condition that happened to me. I am a beloved creation of God. Whenever harsh memories come to mind, I release them and begin to know that I can overcome them.
I do not deny that something happened; I just deny that it has the power to control me and my life. In sweet surrender to God, I will know how it is to be completely alive and whole.
“You will find rest for your souls.”
