Blessed are they who understand
My faltering step and crippled hand.
Blessed are they that know my ears today
Must strain to hear the things they say

Blessed are they that seem to know
That my eyes are dim and my answers slow.
Blessed are they who look away
When my tea was spilled at the table today.

Blessed are they with a cheery smile
Who stopped to chat for a little while.
Blessed are they that never say
You have told that story twice today.

Blessed are they that make it known
That I am love and not alone.
Blessed is my doctor who is the best you see
When I can't go to him then he will come to me.

Blessed are all that ease the days
Of my sunset years in loving ways.
Blessed are my family who are so very dear
Their good care is why I am still here.

O Lord, take my love, and let it flow in fullness of devotion to Thee;
O Lord, take my hands, and let them work incessantly for Thee;
O Lord, take my soul, and let it be merged in One with Thee;
O Lord, take my mind and thoughts, and let them be in tune with Thee;
O Lord, take my everything, and let me be an instrument to work for Thee.
