It takes a lot of energy and determination to climb a mountain. When the top is finally reached, the exhilaration of achievement will have made it all worthwhile.
And I have had emotional mountaintop experiences - the exhilaration of achieving some goal or realization. Or, having gone through a time of challenge, I find that I feel both at peace and energized when things finally do smooth out.
Yet, even higher than the physical and emotional exhilaration I enjoy, there is the mountaintop experience of realizing my own spirituality. This is when I cease to struggle on my own and let the power of God within me work through me. Then I soar above any confusion around me and discover the true joy of living as a spiritually empowered being.
I have discovered the exhilaration of living as a spiritual being.
