How do I hear Your Voice, Swami?

My mind is clustered with thoughts,

It is an endless uproar within...

How do I feel Your Presence, Swami?

My days are filled with worldly duties,

It is a meaningless empty life...

How do I see Your Divinity, Swami?

My eyes are blinded by pride and ego,

It is a bottomless pit of doom...

Take my hand now, Lord, and guide me,

Show me the way out of this darkness,

Lead me onwards to Your Land of Truth.

I Have Learned

Swami, from You... I have learned...

To see beauty in all Your creations

and treasure the uniqueness in diversity.

To hear gentle music that pervades the air

and cherish the bliss in pure silence.

To taste both sweet and bitter experiences

and find peace in equanimity.

To feel through my heart, not the mind

and cultivate love for all existence.

I have learned that Divinity dwells in All

and will ultimately return to the only ONE...

Our Human Body

Our human body is temporary,

A passing ship across the ocean of life;

The more we try to possess the world,

The harder will be our journey to strive.

From emptiness we came and to thus we shall go,

The circle will keep on revolving;

Awaken and seek your answers within,

"Who am I?  Whither am I going?"

Every night as I lay down on my pillow,

Cover me with Your Pure Consciousness,

so I may merge into You...

Every morn as I awake from slumber,

Shine on me Your Divine Effulgence,

so I may merge into You...

Every moment as I exist in form,

Illumine me with Your Loving Presence,

so I may merge into You...

Dearest Swami,

My tears have flowed and they have dried,

but my love for You will live on forever.

This emptiness in my heart have yet to heal,

and it will be my guiding light towards You.
