The Doer

Sharing a spiritual revelation I've received today...

My Sai graphic art journey began only after my return from Puttaparthi in 2011, after meeting Swami in person, that is. With loving guidance from two Sai sisters who live across the globe, I began to delve into graphic art and slowly learned, through trial and error, how to make beautiful Sai pictures.

I absolutely LOVE making graphics for Swami... It always starts with a empty layer, somewhat like a blank paper for most artists. Next, the art will continue making itself as pictures come together. Of course, I have to do some clean-up or erasing, or painting, or editing wherever necessary.... but when the art piece itself is complete, I always feel a sense of great accomplishment.... Joy, if you must put a name to it.

Anyway, let me zoom in closer to the revelation.... Sometimes, as I am editing the picture, I would have an inner conversation with Swami... "Let me tidy up your hair", or, "Let me add a beautiful background for your picture", etc., etc.... In other words, I thought that I was the one who was creating the beautiful picture for Swami.

This afternoon, something hit me inside my head and turned the whole scenario around. WHAT IF.... it is God who is creating that same beautiful picture for me? WHAT IF... every single day of my life is an art piece for God? Oh my gosh! That changes the perception of my entire life!

Imagine if my life was just a piece of blank paper. It is God who paints the background, draws the flowers and streams in it, adds on the birds and sunlight, etc., etc.... and if He does not agree with any part of it, He will just erase or change it with another scenery or building. If I can do that with Photoshop, why can't God do that too, with just a wave of His hand?

Therefore, whatever phases we go through in our lives, it is not permanent; it is constantly changing... What matters is our understanding that 'I' am not the Doer, but HE is.

Be Happy Always,

O LORD, TAKE MY LOVE

O Lord, take my love, and let it flow in fullness of devotion to Thee;
O Lord, take my hands, and let them work incessantly for Thee;
O Lord, take my soul, and let it be merged in One with Thee;
O Lord, take my mind and thoughts, and let them be in tune with Thee;
O Lord, take my everything, and let me be an instrument to work for Thee.
