The new growth in the plant swelling agains the sheath, which at the same time imprisons and protects it, must still be the truest type of progress.
- Jane Addams
Farmers know that before they reap a rich harvest, they must first plant seed and then care for their growing crops. They know that this process does not happen overnight. It takes time and patience.
I, too, give special attention to the blessings I wish to harvest, for the blessings I want most are ones such as love and understanding, health and well-being - blessings that will last a lifetime.
These and other blessings require time to take root and grow and mature in me and in others. The nourishment for these seed-blessings comes from the eternal spirit of life within. And then, in a time of harvest, the beauty of God's spirit shows forth as expressions of life, love and goodwill.
God provides a glorious harvest of blessings.
