Which are the two most important spiritual commandments ?
You must fasten yourself firmly to the scriptural commandment : Sathyam Vada. When you give a word to do a thing, you MUST do it. Failure on your part to do is tantamount to falsehood. Such an act is not only untruthful but betrayal and deceit too. The second scriptural commandment is : Dharman Chara (practice Dharma). Swayed by self-interest and selfishness, man performs activities he likes. Unless we practice what we learn, we cannot gain much in this world. (Summer Showers 1996, pg 80)
