All that is worth cherishing in this world begins in the heart, not the head.
- Suzanne Chazin
Some people help others quickly and without any desire for recognition. They give a gentle touch, have intuitive understanding of others' needs, and express compassion without fanfare or effort.
Surely it is love - love for God and for humankind - that inspires them to be caregivers. They see others as the individual creations of God that they really are. They see each physical body as the visible form that has as its center invisible spirit.
In some capacity or another, all people are caregivers. So I want to know that I, too, am giving from the love of God within me. The love I give to others first flows through me to strengthen and inspire me. What better gift could I give to others than the very love out of which all life has been created?
I give the gift of love.
