The Spirit

The Spirit is all
And all is the Spirit
An Awesome Reality

The Spirit shines through the window of our heart
Bringing with It, energy and the joy of life
Even on the cloudy day the Spirit is a part.

One does not need to see the sun
To feel the Spirit
The Spirit and I are one

So the Spirit would be
The material was not
Each individual is part you see

It brings wisdom for life
With meditation day to day
The peace of the Spirit calms all strife

We choose how to live
Sadly we have also been given a will
Which robs us of the desire to give

We listen to mere words
Follow the blind leader of the blind
The Spirit cannot be heard.

The truth we do ignore
And choose to walk contrary
Missing opportunity in store.

The Spirit did speak
Our existence is proof
Life is not so bleak.
