The six demons, kama (lust), kroda (anger), lobha (greed), moha (attachment), mada (pride) and matsara (hate) pursue you and turn you into wrong paths and make you servile, stupid and sad. Fight against them resolutely. That is the life-long war you have to wage. It is not a seven years war or a thirty years war; it may be a hundred years war if you live a hundred years. The struggle knows no respite. This is a civil war, where vigilance alone can bring dividends.
You have six fires raging inside you, but you also have four effective fire extinguishers - righteousness, truth, peace, and divine love (dharma, sathya, shanthi and prema). All of them can help you to overcome these flames. It is the duty of man to ensure the four wheels of the chariot (body), i.e., dharma, sathya, shanti and prema move along the road to the goal of liberation (moksha). The chariot will move easily only if it has less luggage (less worries, desires and fears). Faith is the air in the wheels and it must be periodically checked for even balance. Man must realize that he is the owner of the body and not the body itself. Mind, intellect and senses are his to manipulate as he wishes and not the other way around.
