When I was standing strong and tall,
With nothing much to fear,
You spoke a message to my heart,
In pride, I did not hear,
When I was busy with my time,
In future-building chores,
You called my name and just the same,
I chose then to ignore,
When I was happy and content,
With all my worldly gain,
You offered me salvations gift,
Again, I would refrain,
When all my world came crashing down,
In hopelessness and fear,
My hearts door opened to your voice,
And I could finally hear,
The love, the comfort, peace and joy,
This gift, you offered me,
That I live more abundantly,
Through all eternity,
I’m thankful now, that all is lost,
For through that loss is gain,
Lord, You have moved inside my heart,
Forever to remain.
