Tonight, as I close my eyes

A note to my birth mother :

Though we may never meet again,

I truly understand the sorrow you have suffered...

To bear a child and never see her anymore,

Is a pain that no human heart can ever endure...

For many years, I tried to follow the footsteps of others…

The elders who seemed spiritually uplifted,

They who possess more knowledge,

Those who have walked the path before me.

But now, my Spirit yearns to be free…

No more should I listen to the words of men,

Only One Voice must I heed and it speaks from my Heart,

“Go forth alone and find God in your Self…”
