A Thoughtful Process
(31 - 40)
31. It is the nature of the mind to first believe and then doubt.
32. Even if God were to stand right by you and declare to you who He is, the mind would first be elated and then question the validity of His truth.
33. The mind always looks for something “new”, and when it finds it… it attaches itself to the newness. But when the newness wears out it demeans the same concept it so welcomed.
34. The mind is known to first hop from one idea to another… it then accepts some but fails to follow their ideals… it skips those ideas that require too much concentration and then it blindly jumps into something that pleases it with an easy return.
35. It is not your life… and God that is betraying you… it is your mind that betrays you moment to moment and forces you to change with it…
36. The mind is passionate and unrealistic. It wants that which is beyond its reach, and fails to recognize the grace that has fallen into its hands.
37. You will not be able to give understanding to anyone if you have made your mind your only focus.
38. As your desire begins to change, you too will begin to change.
39. You befriend those that think like you… act like you… and deny likewise the delusion that you are buried in.
40. Any mind can be changed if the courage of the Self rises and leads it to truth that is simple and filled with peace.
