This new picture -
I saw of You!
You'r seen so engrossed
In a mighty wave of thought;
And Your middle finger
T'ween Your eyebrows -
Contained it there!
So full - the world and
All heaven -
On Your shoulders,
So light - on Your crown!
So fatherly in gaze,
So motherly in mien.
O how I wish, I saw
More and more of
Such delights -
Lifting me -
To heights
Of joy and ecstasy,
Each time I set eyes
On Your picture
Or even just
While -
Thinking of You!
