I learned in my four decades in Washington that one person can make a difference.
- Liz Carpenter
In order to live in harmony with others, I do not necessarily have to agree with them on all or even most things.
Harmony is the calm of one person that allows others the freedom to express their own ideas. It is a reverence that embraces the differences of people as a sacred plan of God's design.
So whether I am expressing harmony as a loving parent or guiding other youngsters into adulthood, I rely on spiritual understanding to direct me. I do not force anyone to fit into some preconceived mold.
Harmony thrives in an atmosphere of spiritual understanding. My willingness to recognise both my own sacredness and the sacredness of all people gives birth to a peace that passes both understanding and misunderstanding.
I live and work in harmony with others.
