CHAPTER 58
Stand up, My dears! Stand up for what you know is right, and let not this knowledge of righteousness waver with weak thoughts that will compel you to cowardly withdraw. You may be temporarily relieved from the stress of this battle, but know, that when you will forsake the "right", your "doing of this wrong" will follow you all this life and in every birth, until the right is firmly lodged, once again, in your heart forever!
To simply recognize the right, is the mind of the "wise", to choose the right, is the mind of divine strength and to act upon it, instantly, with no hesitation, is the mind that has surrendered to God with love and only love! How easy it is, O child, to ignore the prompting of the conscience and how difficult it is to live in constant conflict with the conscience. How easy it is, My dears, to spend the day muffling the inner voice with the noises of worldly pleasures, but know, that when the silence of night will come, and the world seems dead in sleep, then I will awaken you and probe you from within, to admit all the wrongs of that day, and you will begin to fear, not only the darkness of the night, but you will also fear your very own company. Yes! You will begin to worry of the evil darkness within you, too! The time to rest will come, yet you will find no rest. Each day, you will awaken being even more fatigued with a tired mind; a weak mind, and a fearful mind!
Remember, once the thorn of "wrong" pricks you, you will have to walk the rest of the way with the pain of its wound. Until the thorn is removed, the pain will not leave and the wound will not heal. You fear only the momentary pain of removing the thorn, yet you do not foresee its future destruction. Pay no attention when the body, mind, attachments, and desires suffer; but when you hear the cry of your inner voice, the conscience that weeps with neglect, know then, that the path of real pain lies ahead - fear then that the true destruction of suffering is surely coming your way.
The life within you is that of God, then tell Me, how can you live life, otherwise? The law of nature is only one - the law of love - pure love and not you or anyone can bend this law to change it. Its time you wiped these tears of frustration, and shed, instead, tears of sweet devotion. Remember, the feet must follow only the trail of goodness, the eyes must follow only the stream of light, and you must be only the heart that follows - follows the love of God, by being His "right" from now on, and fight, until each "wrong" has found its end!
