CHAPTER 59
Make the Lord your only reason to think, your inspiration to speak, and your only motivation to act. You must face every change in life staying unchanged, knowing fully, that each change will introduce its own beginning and will only grow to meet its own end. You must be like the wind that gushes its speed along with the thunderous storms, and silently drops its flow, when the storm has cleared.
Attachments are only bound, one day, to change their course. This "binding love", will, one day, inflict upon you its pain of separation. The reality remains that changes are boundless, it is you that fears and stays resistant, bound by selfish love and inexhaustible desires. Learn, My dears, to leave behind that which has walked with you for only a few paces in your life. The child holds the hands of his mother, yet this same child grows to be a young man, will say his sweet good-byes to his mother, and then hold the hand of his beloved for the next part of the journey. Do not obsess and create within your fears of insane love - such kind of insanity results in possessiveness, envy, and jealousy. Each part of life will share with you its own beauty - give in fully, enjoy it to its fullest, and then learn to move on. Remember that you are a traveler who is only seeking temporary refuge - do not let this journey break by your weakness of wanting to stay longer. Your needs will change at every part of the journey - do not make the needs of yesterday, your addictions of today.
All must go, and believe Me, all 'will' go - only God will remain. When you know that to be your end, then you must start at the beginning of your lives, preparing to meet this end. The preparation must be that of God being your only need, your only attachment, your only yearning and your only beloved. All within will be satisfied, O sweet, when "He" becomes the need, all within will be content, when "He" attaches to you; all desires will meet with a response, when "He" is only what you yearn for, and all the love you feel and live to meet will take His form, to give even more and more of you.
The knowledge of accepting change will only come, when you have accepted the real you to be "changeless". The strength to rise with every change will only come, when you have risen beyond the stage of being tied with the ropes of "time". Change is only finite - limited by the parameters of time, but you must know and grow to find that the reality of life that exists in you is infinite and can never be withheld by the hands of the clock. Limitations of change will affect you, only because you have chosen to remain in the ignorance of the self. Once you remain to stay constant, every change will then appear to you as a new way of meeting God's love in another form and at all times. The one hope, one strength, one friend. Yes! One answer to all your changes - God!
