Oh, the wonder of a child! It is a combination of excitement and expectation, a certain knowing that the most wonderful event one could ever imagine is about to happen. Not even a shadow of a doubt gets in the way of a dream and its fulfilment.
The child is able to see the glory of God and, without the slightest hesitation, reaches out with open arms to accept it all. Somehow, without even being told, the child knows to look past circumstances and conditions to the unconditional love and acceptance of God.
And the truth about me is that I am a child, also - a child of God. I, too, open my arms and embrace each day in childlike wonder. I accept and give thanks for every blessing in the kingdom of God.
I embrace the blessings of God in childlike wonder.
