We, who call ourselves Swami's devotees, are aware that He is carrying out His Godly duties of saving the world and humanity. It is happening every day, every hour, every minute, every second.... all the time. He has also repeated constantly that He is taking the negative effects of the world upon His Physical Body, to reduce the suffering of His children. So, armed with that knowledge, we have taken Him for granted all these years because we trust that He is doing His Job perfectly well.
Thus, when He became so sick and needed to undergo intensive medical treatment in His own hospital, many of us were shocked and just fell apart. The pain that we felt was massive. We cried like babies, we prayed like we have never done before, we prayed MORE than we ever did before, we wait anxiously for news about His health, we think about Him all the time. All our other problems dissolved into nothingness... Swami became our prime focus 24/7.
Then, He started reminding us of His Messages... they came through various channels, excerpts of His Discourses in words and videos. We read and watched all of them. We finally absorbed some of the things He had been saying all these years, and with that understanding, came peace and tranquility. But have we yet realized the underlying essence in all that is happening?
This morning, when I woke up, a thought hit me like a hammer. I 'think' I finally understood why Swami is sick... He is raising our consciousness level. It is just as simple as that. Where there used to be some veils of Maya before, many layers have been lifted off, and we are now able to have a clearer vision of Him within.
There is no use trying to figure out what our simple human minds are not able to comprehend. All we have to do is to stop resisting and to surrender to His Will.... as in Phyllis Krystal's words, 'Surrender, Trust and Accept'.
If we continue to fight, we will remain stuck here in samsara, the cycle of birth and death. If we allow God to lead us, He will take us higher and higher until we ultimately merge into Him.
Loving Sai Rams,
Adeline
