The strings of worldly friendship
The strings of worldly friendship
Are very weak...
The falsehood in the mind...
The expectations in the heart
Will one day
Make them walk
Their own separate ways
The soul that is blinded
And deluded
Will only seek such faulty friendships...
The one that has held
The hand of God
Will walk in silence
Never frustrated or desperate
Always looking
In the eyes of his Master
And being content
Wherever life may take him...
For him...
All is well
As long as the Lord
Is his only friend!
